Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Motion or back-Up Alarms:
Back-up alarms and motion alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the noise is heard overtop the sounds produced from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device should be distinguishable from other audible devices or noises from the work setting. The sound should also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work place. The audible device could end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care must be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made harder because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could sometimes get deactivated from employees and operators because they can find them really annoying. In addition, audible devices could also be objectionable to residents nearby.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to prevent injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through window removal. Noise levels are reduced at the operator's ear because of additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: For each specific application, the operator could choose the performance requirement. Additionally, it allows a supervisor to set the model's utmost performance for an operator who is just learning. Being able to adjust and reduce the unit's maximum performance enables a new operator to learn the operating characteristics of the machine in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: The impact monitor disables the model and when this occurs, it requires a supervisor to re-enable and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled manner.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These mirrors serve as an aid to the operator in observing the operating environment behind the truck as well as the tail swing area.
