Seat Belts for Counterbalances
A type of machine that could carry loads which are around 30,000 lbs is a forklift. A forklift is also called a counterbalance. Despite being large and sturdy, these industrial equipment still bear the potential risk of accident or crash. In order to be very safe, be sure to have operators wear an appropriate seat belt in the forklift and make sure that up to standard safety features are also on board. People know that seat belts could save lives in case of an accident.
Three-Point Seat Belt
The types of seat belts which could extend both across the upper body and over the lap are the three-point seat belts. These belts provide an extra safety degree by protecting your body. They are offered in both bench-seat and buckle-seat styles. The 3-point seat belts are offered in either non-retractable or retractable types.
Most modern vehicles available offer retractable seat belts. While non-retractable styles increase safety, retractable styles offer much more comfort. It is really not possible for a non-retractable seat belt to accidentally extend.
Lap belts
Two-point lap belts are those that extend over the lower portion of the body. The majority of lap belts are non-retractable and feature a push-button closure system. In order to secure the seat belt, just press on the belt button and the two sides would separate.
Circuit-closed seat belt
The circuit-closed seat belts are the type which force forklift operators to wear a seat belt. These types of seat belts have a micro-switch attached that sounds an alarm if an operator starts a vehicle and is not secured by a seat belt. The circuit-closed seat belts are made in both retractable and non-retractable lap-band kinds.
