Utilize a Pneumatic Forklift
Pneumatic forklifts are common in shipping and warehouse operations. Also called pallet trucks or pump trucks, they are used in order to transport products and supplies around on wooden pallets using metal forks mounted on a wheeled counterweight. The counterweight includes a pump that could lift the forks off the ground. A pallet truck is designed to be operated by a single individual.
To avoid loosing control while lifting heavy loads, pallet trucks must always be operated with care. Machine should be inspected prior to operating. Clear the wheels area of any obstacle. Make certain that the handle turns smoothly. The pallet should be carefully stacked to ensure that nothing would fall off during transportation.
On the end of the pallet truck's handle, squeeze the level situated on the inside of the metal loop in order to lower the forks and release the air in the pump. The forks can then be pushed into the pallet slots. The forks should be at the center to be able to ensure equal distribution of the pallet's weight across them. Lift the forks from the ground by pumping the handle of the pneumatic lift until the pallet has cleared the ground completely. Do not lift the pallet very high or the forklift could unbalance.
Pull on the handle and drag it behind you if you want to move the pallet. It is really not safe to push the pallet in front of you since the thrust could cause it to go out of control. Take turns slowly and don't attempt to stop abruptly. Stop slowly, squeeze the lever, and the forks will lower to the ground. Lastly, remove the forks from the pallet by pulling them out. Return the pallet truck to its permanent place.
