The 600 Series of articulating booms provided by JLG, feature an optional narrow chassis which would enable access to confined places. The 600 Series showcases the industry's best work envelope; a horizontal outreach of 12.12 m or 39 feet, 9 inches and 8.1 m or 26 feet, 7 inches up and over height. These machines offer dual rated capacities of 1000 pounds and 500 pounds too. Along with a 60 foot platform height, these units will offer you with the power and the reach capacity you need no matter what kind of work needs to be done.



To give you excellent drive and performance on rough terrain, these articulating booms are available with optional 4-wheel drive and standard oscillating axles. Giving unmatched agility and confined spaces, are the optional 4-wheel steer and 3-position switch. The platform controls are better and have been redesigned so as to be smoother for job site productivity and offer more controlled operation.



Raising Safety Standards for Aircraft Maintenance

Great for working on any size of aircraft, the Model 740AJ offers 74 feet or 22.6 m of height and more than 15 m or 51 feet of outreach. It includes many safety features that you need when performing maintenance. The Fall Arrest platform can be added in order to enable you to exit the platform and move an entire 270 degrees around the platform within a radius of 6 feet, and continue to have fall protection whilst doing so.



One more optional feature is the Soft Touch System. This lessens the risk of any accidental contact and damage during aircraft maintenance. This package option provides a suspended padded rail which surrounds the platform basket. There are proximity sensors which de-activate platform movement functions and if the basket comes too near the aircraft surface, the driver is alerted.



Benefits

The articulating jib allows for more access and precise positioning to all external surfaces on any type of aircraft. This jib could be utilized in both controlled and uncontrolled areas thanks to steady winds, 90 mph gusts and jet blast standards of 80 mph. An on-board air compressor option allows for pneumatic-powered hand tools to be utilized. The Fall Arrest adds safety when performing maintenance outside of the platform.
