The Carriage
Like conventional forklifts, the lifting attachment can be tilted from its horizontal position to forwards and backwards. The actual possible amount of tilt completely exceeds that of vertical mast lift trucks. There is a large variety of available lifting attachments, and this ability to position makes them as effective as possible.
Most telehandlers have the capability of tilting to a position that is actually parallel to the ground. Several models have rotating carriages too. This enables the operator to adjust the lifting attachment radially. This translates to the load being capable of being tilted forwards and backwards, and side to side.
Load Capacity
Telehandlers have a load capacity fairly similar to that of the vertical mast model. The unit's overall capacity will be dependent on things such as: boom angle and extension, whether the unit is lifting on outriggers or on rubber tires, and the amount of boom transaction deployed, if this is applicable. Additionally, which lifting attachment plays a very main role, as does the wind, the grade the machine is operating on and so forth. All of these specifics could be changing on a constant basis and this gives the operator a lot more information to consider.
Telehandlers will often have some different load charts available to them, giving them a good reference they can utilize to know a particular lift's load capacity. Depending on the unit in particular and the boom's configuration, the load capacity may differ by thousands of pounds all together.
