The basic structure of the categorization of lift trucks consists of the following:

Standard Trucks: The standard lift truck is a tough and strong unit and the most commonly used lift trucks in warehouses. Standard trucks could usually lift weights between 3,000 pounds to 4,000 pounds and their blades could lift loads as high as 20 feet.

Reach Truck: Reach Trucks are a different name for narrow-aisle lift trucks. Usually, these machines run on electricity. These machines are specifically made for pallet storage. They could carry cargo up to 40 feet in height. If you want unloading and raising weights fast and over long distances, than a reach truck will not be the right kind of machine for your needs.

Order Selector: Order Selectors are very narrow aisle trucks that are utilized to move racked loads which are smaller than pallet size. Order Selectors are unique in that they could lift both the load and the truck operator up to 40 feet in height.

Motorized Pallet Trucks: Motorized Pallet Trucks are also referred to as walkie riders, riders, and walkies. These units are aptly named due to the fact that the operator is not required to sit inside of the machine in order to operate it. Instead, the operator walks along the side of the truck as it moves the cargo.

Swing Mast Trucks: The swing mast truck to typical units of trucks. These are equipment with a narrow aisle and have masts which could swing up to 90 degrees, just in one direction.

Turret Trucks: The turret truck has been designed to operate in very narrow aisles. Similar to an Order Selector, they can raise the driver as well as the load. In addition, these trucks could swing their forks ninety degree on each side.
