To charge the DC battery and to offer the operator with long battery life between charges, Genie DC units have systems on-board. There is also a 30 amp universal smart charger system used to charge between shifts or overnight. The smart charger system would automatically convert to the AC voltage frequency and input. Genie DC models provide proportional drive and lift controls which help the user to utilize precise and smooth movements and regulate the speed of every function. This ensures precise positioning with every lift. On non-jib units, the self-levelling platform rotates to 90 in either direction. For jib models, the jib can rotate 80 degrees in either direction as well as 135 five degrees to 139 vertically, depending on the unit used. Working heights range from 12.52 meters to 15.94 meters, which depends on the model. Genie DC lifts are stable when rotating the turntable in confined areas. Due to lack of tailswing, lift repositioning whilst the turntable is rotating is not needed.
