Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Houston

Nissan Cushion Tire Forklift Houston

The ITA or Industrial Truck Association has determined 7 different categories of lift trucks. These classes are divided into the kind of work environment; rough or smooth surfaces, indoors, outdoors and narrow aisle; by the type of engine; whether the operator is standing or sitting down; and finally the characteristics of the equipment, regarding the maximum grade and tire type. Several of the classes are further sub-divided by operating characteristics. Here are the following classifications of lift trucks:

Class 1 Forklifts: these machines consist of electric motor trucks which use either air filled or pneumatic tires or cushion tires. The Class 1 lift trucks also include 4 lift codes, or subcategories that are:

Lift Code 1: Stand-up, counterbalanced rider model.

Lift Code 4: 3-Wheel electric sit-down types.

Lift Code 5: Counterbalanced rider, cushion tire sit down tires.

Lift Code 6: Includes pneumatic tire models, counterbalanced rider, and sit-down rider.

Class 2 Forklifts: Class 2 lift trucks consist of narrow aisle electric trucks with solid tires.

Category 3 Forklifts: The class 3 lift truck will include all hand/rider trucks fuel and electric based with solid tires.

Class 4 Forklifts: Class 4 forklifts are the IC or internal combustion models. These are sit down rider forklifts with cushion tires. Normally, they are great for use on hard surfaces and indoor use.

Category 5 Forklifts: IC sit down rider units equipped with pneumatic tires make up Class 5 lift trucks. Usually, these units are ideal for working on rough surfaces outdoors or on areas with significant inclines.

Class 6 Forklifts: Class 6 lift trucks will consist of internal combustion powered or electric units. These ride-on models could tow at least 1000 pounds. This particular category is engineered and designed to tow loads rather than lift it.

Category 7 Forklifts: This class is defined as rough terrain trucks with pneumatic tires. The Category 7 forklifts are almost exclusively utilized outside and powered by diesel engines.

These categories were designed to keep the large field of lift trucks organized and separated. In order to get their work completed, various working atmospheres depend on different classifications. Forklifts are rather specific in their loading and lifting capacities. Their different kinds of engines and tires are made for particular applications. In order to pick the right forklift to fulfill your tasks and to suit your needs, do some research to determine exactly what you will require from your particular unit. By talking to a few reputable dealers and taking time to explore your choices, you can choose the appropriate equipment.
