Potain Cranes Houston

During the year 1928 within La Clayette, France, the company Potain was born. Since then, Potain has been the global leader in tower crane production. They are responsible for over 100,000 cranes installed and sold all-around the globe. Currently, the company manufacturers over 60 models from various production plants inside France, China, Germany, Italy and Portugal. The company represents many different product ranges designed for various applications. These machinery are sold through a global Manitowoc dealer network.

The Potain family makes 3 different tower crane families. The self-erecting cranes are the smallest kinds in the Potain range. These cranes vary from 1 ton to 7.98 ton capacity. The next size up is the top-slewing cranes which are both larger and higher. These cranes range from 7.98 to 64 tons. Moreover, these are the biggest special application cranes that are custom-designed. These units provide a reach capacity of 160 tons.

The company's top innovations include LLC series of hoists, the Dialog control system and the Vision Cab. The growing reputation of the company has expanded their appeal with various models. Potain cranes are normally found on conventional construction sites, bridge building projects, power stations, ship-building projects and shipbuilding yards.

Manitowoc has 2 of their largest manufacturing facilities within the United States. The Manitowoc manufacturing facility is located in Wisconsin.
